Nathan Joe is an Auckland-based playwright and critic. Winner of the Playmarket b425 award in 2015 and 2016, his plays Hippolytus Veiled and Like Sex have gone on to being staged at The Basement (Auckland) and BATS (Wellington). His short plays, Full Disclosure and Act of Submission, have also been staged as part of the Legacy Project, so he's the perfect guide for those interested in getting involved!

Now in its 5th year Legacy Project is a theatre development programme created to provide a platform for emerging writers within our LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans) community to create short theatrical works that express our unique Kiwi voices.

From open submissions, six scripts will be chosen for development and receive the intense focus and attention needed to refine your script. An additional six directors will be selected from submissions to assist in bringing each story to life, working together with actors to strengthen the work before it premieres as part of Auckland Pride Festival 2018.
